Once again, UKSaabs will be having a Club Stand at 'Eurofest 2008'
Held at Castle Combe racing circuit on Sept 6th 2008.
This will be the 6th time UKSaabs will have had a Club Stand at 'Combe. Every one has been a great success and everyone has had a terrific time whilst there.
This is a cheap way of taking your Saab out on track.
A six lap session on the West's premier racing circuit between 09.00-11.00hrs and 16.15-17.00 will cost you just £25 booked through here. £30 between 11.15-16.00. There are 4 sessions per hour, on the hour, 15, 30 and 45 mins past too.
Entry tickets are £10 but I have 10 free ones for the 10 first on the list as drivers taking their Saabs out on track.

I have had this car for about 4 weeks now and I am loving it. It was bought with the understanding that it had issues, mostly body and interior. The car in its self is very good.
The engine is excellent, and the sound is amazing. I am not really able to work on it, as the car is parked on the street and that always makes it an issue. I have been searching for a garage till I am blue in the face, and now, maybe one has come up.

Well, after a short spell without a Saab, I have another one. This time, I’m one step closer to my ultimate Saab c900, which would be a late example, T16 and 3 doors.
I have, after some posting on Saab sights been contacted by a number of people, thanks all, but finally went for an F plate T16 5 door.
Mechanics are good, engine is great. Body is bad, and interior is in need of TLC. I will start to restore this one to some sort of former glory. So, I will starting ASAP, and have already contacted people about some parts to tackle some of the larger defects.
The boost is excellent, and the engine is quiet. The exhaust is good and it brakes well. There are some strange knocks from around the front, and once the weather clears or I find a garage in Reading, I will start to prod on poke at things.
First on my list of things to do, simply make sure all is ok.

Well the time had to come. It was all down to relocating and needing money. I sold the 900 SE on Uksaabs.co.uk, in about 30 minutes. I am in the process of getting another, because 7 days without a Saab is just too much! Also, I am needing transport at the moment. Watch this space for another 900, and more work to be done.

Unfortunately do to the very poor weather here in Glasgow, nothing has moved forward, except the odd circle in the car to keep it warm and moving. I have decided that I will tackle the rear fog lights no matter what the weather. Stand by for an update...

Well while the Saabing has not been up to much, fuel pump and new relays, along with 5 metres of vacuum hose still to fit, I have added some community Saab forums. Not meant to compete with any other sites, this is here to allow discussion and ideas to help with my or any Saab restoration on this site.
Please feel free to join, and suggest threads, categories and ideas!

I have just been working on my Jubilee. This is possibly with a view to sell. So far I have flushed the steering rack, I will do this again soon, changed the pads on the front brakes, discs were fine, repaired some trim and cleaned the car inside and out. The picture is with the SE's Ronal wheels, I have now changed them back to the Jubilee editions. (Click the pic)
Also, I have replaced the rear floor and toolkit, the left hand boot trim, and taken all the seats out and treated with leather cleaner and feed. The centre console was also removed and cleaned and the carpet checked and hovered. The parcel shelf was also replaced.
All this and the headliner still to do. In addition, I will pressure bleed the breaks and clutch systems. I changed the oil and filter about 2000 miles again, and this will be checked as well.
This is along with the fuel filter replacement, the back box, spark plugs, rotor arm, distributor cap, oil pressure switch, and new wipers all round.
I may sell, and run the SE for a while. Jubilee has her MOT at the end of the month.. Should be fine.
